The USCG Clinic on Kodiak Island is one of the

service's largest health delivery facilities

The US Coast Guard has had a long history of service in Alaska dating back to the Revenue Cutter Serivce. Today, the Coast Guard continues to serve Alaska. Coast Guard personnel and their families are stationed throughout Alaska, and unaccompanied active duty personnel are stationed in areas remote as Port Clarence, St. Paul, Attu, Dutch Harbor, and Shoal Cove. Coast Guard clinics in Kodiak, Juneau, Sitka, and Ketichan support the health care needs of the nearly 5,000 Coast Guard members and their families in Alaska.
